HI Folks,

What they say about ICICI bank ....is aisa vaisa bank... It was proved recently by me. I transfered sum of aussii to my NRE account. The rate I got and my friend in SBI got was different. I got less Rs 1.32 for each dollar. I lost over Rs 10000/- in one transaction. Now this icici idiots are not accepting the fact. Its their mistake...or cheating... whatever you call... but finally i lost money. When i checked with Bank Manager... he told me to contact service desk over phone. (you all know - it is useless n hopless). I cant find anyone else to complain... this manager told me.. that he is not aware of the Foreign currency transaction and blaming on interim bank... Can you believe that.
.... I wish i can go and set that bank of fire... Yes violent...but feel like that when we loose hard money this way...
Iam requesting everyone to be carefull...and stop transacting...
Another shock was...when ICICI refuse to give me cover letter saying that ''i hold account with them'' i required this letter for applying ''Mutual Funds'' ... they refused and told us to not to go to your agent and deal with us directly incase you want to invest in funds............ Bloody... suckers

S....it boils
cheers

It is surely disturbing to deny the Coverletter for MFs (sort of losing freedom). But one has to agree that ICICI always have proper implementation and utilization of advanced technology for people. They have been doing it properly till now.

The other problem is not hidden that the conversion/exchange (USD-INR) rate have been so flactuating. SO the day, one would remit may show good exchange rate(ER) but the uncertainty cannot promise that one will get same ER till the money reaches the NRI account!!
Ofcourse the money surely reaches faster in ICICI that other banks as per my past experience. But anyway the experience may vary from person to person. It is surely good point to take note of such issues, thanks for discussing making us alert of this fact so we too can keep a check.
Cheers

I am even not surpirsed to the extent that ICICI must have hired pool of people to watch what ever is raised aganist them on web site as to keep things under control.

We are here to express our opinion and yes i agree they differ. ICICI has mis managed system. They don't trust e-mails send from ICICI online accounts. They employ 80% of people who are not even permanent.

They disclosure your account credentials with ICICI Lomardi and partner and you end up receving calls from their tied up partners. Comapre your self and visit websites Ibdibank.com and iciciank.com .

ICICI FD rates are not clear. It says you will get 8.75% intrest in eactly 570 days but actually when you raise FD online it ask you enter No. of years / months / days . So if you are not good in calculation and choose 560 or 571 days you will loose 0.5 % intrest FD.

Another Money muliplier accounts are set autofix mode. there is penalty chagre if you withdraw prematuely. So you have to pay penalty even you withdraw after maturity.

You have to pay parking charges for park your vehicle outside their permises at most places. Its illegal . No bank in USA will charge its customers for parking when the customer had come to do business with them.

At last if you are help less, unsatisfied and can't figure out where to complain aganist any bank visit
